4iG IT signed a contract with the government of Montenegro worth 54 million euros for the modernization of security services and border police
The company 4iG IT Ltd., part of the 4iG Group and the Ministry of Public Affairs of Montenegro, signed a contract for the digitalization and technological modernization of the institutions responsible for law enforcement and border protection. The contract was signed on October 20, 2026, at a solemn ceremony within the framework of the EU-Montenegro Investment Conference (AIM 2026), held in Porto Novo.
The total budget for the project is planned to be 54.25 million euros, intended for the modernization of the equipment and systems used by the relevant institutions in the field of security and border protection. The Ministry of Interior of Montenegro, as the end user, will participate in defining the technical requirements and approving the solutions. The investment aims to strengthen the capacities of the security and border services, in line with the country's preparations for membership in the European Union.
The contract establishes the conditions and framework for the implementation of the project, which was announced for the first time in March 2026. This is the first contract for the 4iG Group for the provision of IT services to a foreign government, through which the company expands its international presence through the supply of modern technological solutions and integrated information systems.
"The 4iG Group has been in Montenegro for five years. The project covers the modernization of border control technologies, the improvement of communication systems, and the IT infrastructure. Within the framework of the contract, 4iG IT will provide the equipment and technological systems, their installation, commissioning, and system integration, as well as specialized training and expert support. The new solutions will enable better technological support for the daily operations of the relevant institutions and more effective border controls.
