Can-Am partners with Farm Rescue for families in crisis

Farm Rescue will receive new funding, equipment, and fundraising support through a three-year partnership with Can-Am aimed at helping farm and ranch families facing illness, injury, natural disasters and other unexpected hardships. Can-Am announced the partnership Sept. 1 during the Farm Progress Show in Iowa. Under the agreement, the powersports brand will provide Farm Rescue with $50,000 annually for three years, along with two Can-Am Defender utility vehicles for use in the nonprofit’s field operations. The company will also provide a custom-wrapped 2026 Can-Am Defender MAX Lone Star Cab HD11 that will be auctioned to raise additional money for Farm Rescue. Can-Am will serve as the organization’s official utility vehicle during the partnership. “Both organizations serve people who embody resilience, determination and a commitment to helping others,” said Jérémi Doyon-Roch, Global Marketing Director, Can-Am Off-Road, at BRP. “Can-Am is proud to partner with Farm Rescue because we share a belief that strong communities are built when people show up for one another. Unstoppable isn’t for everyone. It’s for those — like Farm Rescue volunteers — who can’t afford to stop when a family’s legacy is on the line. Together, we’re investing in the families, values and communities that keep agriculture moving forward.” Farm Rescue provides assistance to farmers and ranchers who are unable to complete critical work because of major illnesses, injuries, natural disasters or other hardships. Volunteers help with time-sensitive jobs including planting, harvesting and livestock feeding, using donated equipment and resources. Founded in 2005, Farm Rescue has helped more than 1,300 farm and ranch families. The organization currently operates across an 11-state service area. “We are so happy to have Can-Am as a partner supporting our mission in this way, spreading the word about our work and raising the critical funding we need to help more farm families,” said Shari Rogge-Fidler, Executive Director of Farm Rescue. “Thank you to all at Can-Am who are bringing this partnership to life over the next few years together – it’s an important investment in the future of rural communities and farm families.” The partnership’s custom Can-Am Defender is also expected to provide another fundraising boost. The vehicle is scheduled to be auctioned Feb. 11, 2027, during the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky, with all proceeds benefiting Farm Rescue. Big Iron will conduct the auction. Before heading to Louisville, the custom Defender is slated to make several appearances at major agricultural events. Following its debut at the Farm Progress Show, it will also be displayed at the Farm Science Review and Sunbelt Ag Expo. For Farm Rescue, the additional funding and equipment could help extend the organization’s ability to step in when circumstances beyond a producer’s control put an operation at risk.
