Prime Video has Reacher to fall back on when big-budget shows such as The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and Citadel underperform. There is, however, another movie that has quietly spent more than 100 days on the domestic iTunes chart, according to FlixPatrol, even though it grossed just $2 million at the box office. The movie in question was released theatrically in 2022 and headlined by Chris Pine. It also featured Gillian Jacobs and Ben Foster in supporting roles, and was directed by Tarik Saleh, who remains best known for his acclaimed Cairo Trilogy. Unlike his earlier work, however, Saleh's film with Pine received mixed reviews. That said, the movie seems to have developed a strong cult following in the four years since its release. It now holds a 45% critics' score and a 72% audience score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, whose consensus praised the cast for its "strong work" but described the movie itself as a "standard-issue action thriller."
