The Household Equipment and Furniture Maintenance (-0.4%), Clothing and Footwear (-0.3%), and Alcohol and Tobacco (-0.1%) groups were headwinds to monthly inflation for all groups. The Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages group increased (+0.3%), mostly impacted by the sub-groups Oil and Fat (+2.5%), Sugar (+0.5%), Rice (+0.2%), Salt, Jam, Honey, Chocolate and Sweets (+0.3%), and Fruit (+0.6%). The sub-groups of Coffee, Tea and Cocoa (-2.0%), Milk, Cheese and Eggs (-1.0%), and Meat (-0.1%) moved in the opposite direction to inflation in the Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages group for June 2026. The annual percentage change of CPI increased (+0.5%) between June 2026 and June 2025, contributed by the groups Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (+0.8%), Transportation (+7.0%), Education (+0.3%), Housing (+0.5%), and Communications (+0.5%). The Alcohol and Tobacco (-2.8%), Household Equipment and Furniture Maintenance (-1.6%), Recreation and Culture (-0.6%), and Clothing and Footwear (-0.2%) groups were headwinds to all-group inflation for the June 2026 annual figure. Tradeable inflation rose (+0.2%) and Non-Tradeable inflation was unchanged (0.0%) on a monthly basis, compared between June 2026 and May 2026. Tradeable inflation rose (+0.2%) and Non-Tradeable inflation also rose (+1.0%) on an annualized basis, compared between June 2026 and June 2025.
