The Very Group appoints CEO of Irish business

Drummer will be responsible for leading Very.ie’s growth strategy, enhancing customer experience and driving innovation across its retail and financial services offerings. He will report into The Very Group chief customer and commercial officer Sam Wright. Prior to Very, Drummer was country director for Ireland at leadership development platform MyBigSky from January to July – according to his LinkedIn profile – introducing the business to the Irish market. Prior to this he was managing director for the Bank of Ireland’s Everyday Banking arm between June 2021 and September 2025. He joined the Bank of Ireland in 2018 as chief marketing officer, a position he held until his promotion. His 23-year career also includes five years as marketing director for Tesco Ireland between 2011 and 2016.
