Three Reasons to Support Living Tongues Institute on Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is this week on December 3, 2024! 😀 Here are three reasons to support Living Tongues Institute. - We document endangered languages worldwide. In particular, we focus on vulnerable languages with very little existing documentation and low levels of transmission to younger generations. - We co-publish with many emerging scholars in linguistics, as well as community members who contribute to our language documentation projects. We value cooperation and collaboration within the communities we work in and believe in supporting innovative work from the ground up. - We create free online Living Dictionaries, bringing many under-resourced languages online for the first time! This past year alone, we added dozens of new dictionaries for minority and endangered languages to our online platform, and added over 100k dictionary entries.
