GitLab Patch Release: 18.8.11

GitLab Patch Release: 18.8.11 On July 1, 2026, we released version 18.8.11 for GitLab Community Edition and Enterprise Edition. These versions resolve regressions and bugs. This patch release does not include any security fixes. When database load balancing is in use, database connections may not be returned to the pool as a result of a regression caused by the upgrade to Rails 7.2. We are making an out-of-band patch release to ensure stability for customers upgrading to the required stop of GitLab 18.8. GitLab Community Edition and Enterprise Edition 18.8.11 Important notes on upgrading This version does not include any new migrations, and for multi-node deployments, should not require any downtime. Please be aware that by default the Omnibus packages will stop, run migrations, and start again, no matter how “big” or “small” the upgrade is. This behavior can be changed by adding a /etc/gitlab/skip-auto-reconfigure file, which is only used for upgrades. Updating To update, check out our update page. GitLab subscriptions Access to GitLab Premium and Ultimate features is granted by a paid subscription. Alternatively, sign up for GitLab.com to use the GitLab infrastructure.
