He is known for opposing a Canadian bill that defended gender identity and expression, for exploring how people find meaning, and for speaking out on masculinity. Peterson has published lectures on different books of the Bible, although he does not identify as a Christian. In 2021, his daughter, Mikhaila Peterson Fuller, revealed that she had become a Christian, and in 2023, Peterson’s wife, Tammy, announced that she was joining the Catholic church. In August 2025, Fuller announced that Peterson would be “taking time off from everything” and that he had been diagnosed with CIRS (chronic inflammatory response syndrome). Fuller has since been posting various updates on her father’s health and on other trials her family has been going through. Those included the near-death of Fuller’s infant daughter over that same summer. In October, Fuller said that the summer had been extremely difficult and that Peterson had been in the ICU dealing with sepsis and pneumonia. She also said he had “been suffering for the last number of years with unexplainable neuropathy and weakness, amongst other symptoms.” “We don’t have a better explanation for his neurological symptoms at the moment, other than spiritual attacks,” said Fuller. She also said her father was diagnosed with critical illness polyneuropathy. In April, Fuller explained that it was extremely stressful for her family to give updates on her dad but that it was also stressful to have people speculate when there were no updates. She revealed that the family had learned that the cause of Peterson’s neurological symptoms was akathisia and that it was “the worst thing I’ve ever seen anyone go through.” My activities are still very limited at the moment. I have been doing some writing, however–thank God, said Dr. Jordan Peterson.Click to Post
