Ledesma is known for his portrayals of the heroes and villains of Puccini, Verdi and the bel canto masters, as well as roles in recent Spanish-language works including “Florencia en el Amazonas” and “El pasado nunca se termina.” His career has taken him to Teatro alla Scala, the Liceu in Barcelona, the Klangbogen Festival, the Wexford Festival, Teatro Municipal de Santiago, the Semperoper, Oper Köln, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Bellas Artes in Mexico City, the Macau Festival, Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, Graz Oper, L’Opéra de Montréal, Manitoba Opera, Opera Lyra Ottawa, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Savonlinna Opera Festival, Bucharest National Opera, and the Hungarian State Opera. In the United States, Ledesma has appeared with Houston Grand Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, San Diego Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Florida Grand Opera, Washington National Opera, New York City Opera, Arizona Opera, Michigan Opera Theatre, Atlanta Opera, Santa Barbara Opera, Anchorage Opera, Opera Santo Domingo, Madison Opera, Nashville Opera, Portland Opera, Indianapolis Opera, Connecticut Opera, Opera Pacific, Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Opera Carolina, Opera Memphis, San Antonio Opera, New Jersey State Opera, Minnesota Opera, Florentine Opera and Hawaii Opera Theatre.
