- PKR Youth has criticised Kedah Umno’s call to dissolve Parliament over alleged political turmoil following DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke’s offer to resign from the cabinet.
In a statement, PKR Youth vice-chief Taufiq Johari stressed that the stability of a government is determined by the rakyat’s mandate and its majority in the Dewan Rakyat, “not by the sentiments or calls of any state-level leader”.
The youth and sports minister also said a snap general election would only trigger uncertainty, disrupt ongoing programmes, and burden national expenditure.
He also disputed Kedah Umno strategic communications director Syed Johan Rizal’s claims that the government is “almost sinking”, pointing to the economic growth achieved by Putrajaya.

Blame yourself PKR. Your time is up. You can tell your boss to go Palestine to do reconstruction
Taufiq Johari, Nurul Izzah and three PKR MPs have already resigned; you are still being stubborn about not dissolving Parliament. Of course, your boss will run for a full term, knowing he will lose whether he dissolves Parliament this year or next. Either way, it is game over for him and DAP.
Just shows how eager and desperate Umno and PAS are to gain power Do the voters think they care for us There will be no justice under umno pas
