Kyiv: We apologize Vilnius, Russia may have redirected drones to Lithuania
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhiy Tihij, expressed regret over the incident that occurred this morning in Lithuanian airspace, stating that it may have been due to Russian "electronic warfare," which redirected drones during operations against military targets in Russia.
"We apologize for all the inconvenience, risk, and concern this incident may have caused," Tihij wrote in a post on the social network Iks.
He stated that Ukraine is ready to share all relevant information with Lithuanian partners to determine the full circumstances of the incident, emphasizing that the two countries will continue close cooperation to prevent similar events in the future.
Tihij thanked Lithuania, which he called an ally of Ukraine, for its support in opposing the Russian aggression, assessing that it is the basic cause of security threats in the region.
The Lithuanian National Centre for Crisis Management (NKMC) announced earlier today that NATO fighter jets were raised due to the threat of an unidentified object, likely a drone, that entered Lithuanian airspace.

Italy continues to support Ukraine
Italy will continue to help Ukraine, which is at war with Russia, but Kyiv cannot win, stated Defense Minister Gvido Krozeto.
"So far we have sent 12 aid packages, and by the end of the year we will probably be able to provide another one for Ukraine," said the Italian defense minister in an interview with the BBC. He said that his goal is for Ukraine to survive and for the war to end.
"For Ukraine, victory means that Russia stops bombing and that Ukraine becomes a free country with a future again. This would not just be a victory for Ukraine but a victory for peace, justice, and international law," Krozeto added.

America proposes that Europe buy Russian gas again
The administration of American President Donald Trump presented a plan by which Europe should start buying larger quantities of Russian gas, a move that would bring economic benefit to Moscow and increase its influence in the region, but European officials reacted negatively to this idea, according to The New York Times today.
According to sources familiar with the negotiations, the representatives of President Trump, Jared Kushner and Steve Vitkov, put this idea forward in talks with Ukrainian and European officials, including a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv last month.
To encourage Russia to end the war in Ukraine, Americans proposed that Ukraine consider reactivating the pipelines through which Russian natural gas once flowed to Europe.

Russia carried out 76 attacks
Since the American President announced the energy ceasefire a week ago, Russia has deliberately attacked Ukraine’s energy and oil and gas sectors 76 times. Last night alone, there were strikes on substations in the Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and Odesa regions. Tens of thousands of families remain without power. Energy workers and repair crews are working virtually around the clock to restore the electricity supply. Overnight, the Russians also struck residential buildings in our regions. As of now, 12 people have been reported injured, including two children. Two people have been killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. This morning, there was a strike on an agricultural enterprise in Volyn. All necessary services are working at the site. In total, over this past week, the Russians have attacked Ukraine with almost 2,700 attack drones, 1,700 aerial bombs, and 66 missiles, most of them ballistic. The main targets of these strikes are energy facilities – the Russians are trying to cause a blackout. And America should see that Russia is not taking any reciprocal steps in response to sanctions relief or agreements. On the contrary, they take every signal of an opportunity to make money as proof that their bet on war is paying off and they can keep fighting. It is because of this position of Russia’s that the war continues, not because Ukraine is rightfully defending itself. It is Russia that must face pressure for peace to have a chance. Thank you to everyone who understands this and helps.
