That's what Anthropic earns. The company revealed the results.

The company's revenues amounted to $16.8 billion in the third quarter, compared to $11.6 billion in the second and $4.7 billion in the first quarter. Information from the Anthropic presentation was provided to Reuters by people who attended the meeting with the company's management in San Francisco. According to the agency's interviewees, Anthropic also informed that it achieved a profit after adjustments in the third quarter. The meeting was intended to familiarize potential investors with the company before the expected stock market debut. AI Costs Under the Microscope The participants discussed among others with Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei and CFO Krishnan Rao. Several of them told Reuters that after the meeting, they optimistically assessed the company's rapid revenue growth and its path to profitability. Analysts who met with Anthropic representatives earlier this week estimate that the company's annual revenue could reach $110 billion by the end of the year. This is an analyst forecast, not information about the revenues achieved by the company. Companies developing artificial intelligence are spending huge amounts on chips, data centers, and computing power needed to create and operate increasingly advanced models. Anthropic wants to convince investors that rapid revenue growth will allow to balance the high costs of developing AI systems over time. According to earlier Reuters reports, the company is aiming for a valuation exceeding two billion dollars. Anthropic's Stock Market Debut Before OpenAI Anthropic's stock market debut will precede the entry of the competing OpenAI. Reuters reported that the debut may be postponed to the period after the November supplementary elections in the USA. In the prospectus that Reuters reviewed in September, Anthropic warned that advanced artificial intelligence could pose "catastrophic or existential threats to humanity". During Wednesday's meeting, Amodei spoke again about AI safety, but, as one of the attendees conveyed, did not touch upon the issue of the threat of human extinction. Anthropic was founded by former OpenAI employees and develops models from the Claude family. Its expansion is supported by Google and Amazon, which are simultaneously investors in the company, providers of computing power, distribution partners, and competitors in the artificial intelligence market.
