1958 Porsche 356A Speedster This 1958 Porsche 356A Speedster was refurbished before being acquired by the current owner in 2007. It is powered by a replacement 1.6-liter SC flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Ruby Red over black leather. Equipment includes a black canvas soft top, 15″ Rudge knock-off wheels, a driver-side mirror, body-color bumpers, a cabin heater, and bucket seats. This Speedster is now offered in Waltham, Massachusetts on consignment by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, with a copy of the Kardex and a clean Florida title. The body came finished from the factory in Ruby Red (5802) and was repainted some time prior to 2007. Features include a removable black canvas soft top, a driver-side mirror, removable side curtains, and body-color bumpers. The 15″ Rudge knock-off wheels are mounted with 165/15 Michelin tires. The car was factory equipped with drum brakes at each corner. The fixed-back bucket seats are upholstered in black leather with red piping, and interior appointments include black square-weave carpets, a cabin heater, a passenger-side grab handle, and a body-color painted dashboard. The wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel frames a central 6k-rpm tachometer, a 120-mph speedometer, and a combination gauge monitoring oil temperature and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 98k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership. The replacement 1.6-liter flat-four was sourced from a 1964 356SC and installed some time ago. An oil change was performed in 2026. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. The copy of the Kardex lists the factory colors and serial numbers along with a build date of July 28, 1958.
