Solar inverter manufacturer EPC Power expands for data center demand

Inverter producer EPC Power is opening a 167,000-sq-ft factory in Fountain Inn, South Carolina, nearly tripling its production capacity. The company stated in a press release that this expansion is in response to growing demand for power conversion technologies used in AI data centers. This is EPC Power’s second factory in South Carolina. M and MRACK series power inverters will be manufactured there, which are built for solar, grid and storage applications, and AI data centers. EPC Power reported that the factory will reach full production by the end of July, adding 27 GW of annual capacity. The facility will also create 275 new jobs. “By tripling our capacity, we’re giving data center and utility operators access to more critical components domestically, which de-risks their expansion plans and strengthens supply chain resilience,” said Jim Fusaro, CEO at EPC Power. EPC Power held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new facility in Fountain Inn today. News item from EPC Power Tell Us What You Think!
