Founders of ‘Kept In Her Heart’ podcast share their YouTube channel’s origin story

In 2023, Jeff and Jenni Fuchs launched their YouTube podcast “Kept In Her Heart.” The Fuchs, parishioners of St. Patrick in Oak Grove, also run photo-video companies Sunset Blue Productions and Northern Lights Video. The couple met in college at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud. Jeff Fuchs was Catholic. Jenni Fuchs was baptized Catholic but wasn’t raised in the faith. Through their engagement, Jenni Fuchs went through the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA). “That was kind of an inspiration behind this channel is knowing that there was so much to learn about the faith, and I didn’t know it,” Jenni Fuchs told “Practicing Catholic” co-hosts Leah Heselton for an episode that debuts Sept. 18 on Relevant Radio 1330 AM. Jenni Fuchs teaches OCIA at St. Patrick. She often considers what she wants people coming through the program to know, such as how to pray the rosary and chaplets, where teachings on the Eucharist and the papacy come from. “I’ve always loved conversion stories and vocation stories, and so how can we tell those? That fed into this channel,” Jenni Fuchs said. A few years ago, Jeff, Jenni and their son, AJ, were doing a consecration to Mary as a family. Their consecration date was to be Aug. 15, the date of the Assumption. Before breakfast one day, Jeff Fuchs said he had a sense from the Lord that something was going to happen. “He said, ‘It’s not about if, but about when.
