GNP Seguros expands AI partnership with Palantir

Palantir Technologies, an AI software company, has expanded its partnership with GNP Seguros, Mexico’s largest insurer, marking its first publicly announced commercial customer in Latin America. The enterprise agreement will see GNP Seguros scale its use of Palantir’s Foundry and Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) across its health, life, motor and property insurance businesses. The insurer will use the technology to strengthen fraud detection, improve underwriting, enhance claims processing and unify operational data across the business. GNP Seguros is Mexico’s largest insurer and forms part of the Grupo BAL business group, providing health, life, motor and property insurance products across Mexico. The expanded deployment builds on earlier implementations where GNP Seguros used Foundry and AIP to detect claims fraud, monitor risk and support underwriting decisions. Under the broader agreement, the platforms will bring together claims, underwriting, operations and risk data into a single operational environment. The integrated platform is designed to help the insurer identify unusual claims activity before payments are made, surface risk insights more quickly and test underwriting adjustments in near real time. Palantir said the deployment maintains human oversight, data traceability and governance throughout the decision-making process. The agreement also represents a milestone for Palantir as it expands its commercial presence in Latin America. The company said its insurance platforms are designed to help carriers improve customer service, support claims and underwriting teams with AI-driven insights and provide a secure foundation for enterprise AI adoption.
