Big Rumors Are Circulating Ahead Of The September 2026 Nintendo Direct And A New Leaker Just Nuked Their YouTube Comments
Weāre getting two Nintendo Directs this week, and a fresh round of alleged leaks is in full swing. But this time around itās not just podcaster NateTheHate making calls about what the Switch 2 maker has planned. Others are circulating big rumors as well.
Letās start with the biggest. Thereās a new Nintendo leaker on the block: Malo932. This internet user correctly predicted that a āclassicā Star Fox game and a Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake were both coming out in 2026 (before NateTheHate also made those claims). They also predicted two Directs before Nintendo made them official. So what are they claiming this time around?
The big ones shared in YouTube comments are that Nintendo has a new Super Smash Bros. game planned and is bringing back the handheld pet sim series Nintendogs for the first time in 15 years. The Smash Bros. game is claimed to not just be a port of Smash Bros. Ultimate, either, but a completely new entry.
More Nintendo leaks from the same source (Malo932) that correctly predicted pretty much all Nintendo announcements this year:
ā A brand new Smash Bros game is in development, not a port of Ultimate
ā Nintendogs is coming back
ā Mario Kart World DLC coming in 2027 featuring Fox⦠pic.twitter.com/daFRBOv16mā Centro LEAKS (@CentroLeaks) September 6, 2026
Prior to gaining notoriety, Malo932 had claimed in the past that Nintendo was also working on a Super Metroid pixel art remake, a new Wario Land, and a new 3D Mario adventure. That last one wonāt come as a surprise, but according to Malo932ās earlier predictions back in March, all three are supposed to arrive in 2027.
Here was another recent claim about Mario Kart World DLC and Star Fox. ā2027 is the year the Mario Kart DLC is probably released, and it will feature some Fox inside,ā Malo932 wrote. āIt is also the year (I hope, game development is always a long process) Fox McCloud will go on an adventure. 2026ās Star Fox is a game with a good success, what would you do? Develop some new content for it or use your teams in full force for a new classic entry? The answer is not that far, enjoy Star Fox as it has a lot of content already.ā
The rumors donāt stop with Malo932, however. Another insider, NecroFelipe, teased Luigiās Mansion 4 being in the works. āMalo932 forgot to mention Luigi, poor Marioās brotherā¦even Iām missing that flashlight of his Good thing the fourth game shouldnāt take long to come out,ā he wrote on X. He later followed it up with, āFor the love of God, donāt go to that Direct thinking that everything the āMaloā shared will be announced right away, okay?ā
To make matters even stranger, Malo932 has now gone back and deleted all of their recent YouTube comments and changed their display name to the word āstop.ā Did the newest star leaker on the block go too far and share too much? Is there something in their YouTube footprint that could potentially divulge clues about their identity to Nintendoās online forensics specialists? Or will Malo932 simply be revealed to be a fraud like so many other gaming insiders who eventually fly too close to the sun?
Weāll see what Nintendo ends up announcing this week for real. A Zelda Direct is slated for September 8, followed by a general-purpose pre-holiday Direct on September 9. It sounds like at the very least, fans should expect the first trailer for Nintendoās upcoming live-action Zelda movie to be shared this week. Though you probably didnāt need an insider to help you guess that.
