Winvic completes manufacturing and logistics hub at Derby site after four

Winvic Construction has finished the final phase of a large-scale manufacturing and logistics development at Indurent Park in Derby. The completion is the end of a four‑year delivery programme for developer Indurent. Winvic’s project converted a 27ha brownfield site beside the River Derwent into a ten unit industrial and logistics park with associated infrastructure and landscaping. Indurent Park is now occupied by several well‑known manufacturers and distributors, including Rolls‑Royce, Vaillant, Getinge and Kia. Work for the park included the construction of the ten unit industrial floor spaces, the creation of extensive external works and an 887‑space multi‑storey car park completed in the last phase. Winvic also carried out substantial enabling and earthworks early in the programme, moving more than 224,000m³ of material and building around 800m of new road. It delivered more than 8ha of landscaped public and occupier amenity where Winvic said it used hybrid excavator technology fuelled with Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) during earthworks, to reduce CO2 emissions. The ten high‑spec industrial units were built in a series of phases. Phase two delivered four units, each with integral office space and sustainability features such as rooftop photovoltaic arrays, rainwater harvesting, electric vehicle infrastructure and energy‑efficient building services. Phase three added five further units, totalling in excess of 27870m². The final phase comprised a 3792m² unit, the multi‑storey car park and the remaining landscaping and civil works. The scheme was completed alongside project partners including Rodgers Leask and Stephen George & Partners.
