PNG UNRE student selected for 11th Pacific Nature Conservation Conference in Nouméa
A final-year student from the Papua New Guinea University of Natural Resources and Environment (PNG UNRE) has been selected to present his research at the 11th Pacific Islands Conference on Nature Conservation and Protected Areas, taking place in Nouméa, New Caledonia, from September 7–11.
Naiyas Neson, a final-year Bachelor of Sustainable Fisheries and Marine Resources student, will present his project, "Assessing the Growth Performance of Nile Tilapia Fingerlings Fed with a Formulated Peanut-Based Feed Compared to Commercial Feed," to regional conservation leaders and researchers. Neson formulated his own low-cost, peanut-based feed to test its viability against commercial alternatives.
