ChatGPT could not help him, so at age 25 he became his own AI
Máté Márk originally wanted to get an answer to a tax question, without asking his mother for help. Eventually, this everyday problem gave birth to Azta, a platform based on artificial intelligence that helps users with legal and tax questions. The interesting thing about the story is that although Márk initially wanted to get rid of the process, he later became one of the most important advisors when starting the business.
However, the beginnings were not smooth: according to Márk himself, he deleted Azta from the computer four times, and at first, he invested an amount equal to a better car's price in its development with his own money. The business has since achieved significant growth: while their monthly revenue was one million forints in May, by October this amount had risen to 40 million forints. Márk says that the company currently generates a 70 percent monthly growth.
The AI will work with accountants, not instead of them
One of Azta's most important goals is to make tax and legal knowledge more accessible to a wider audience, knowledge that Márk currently considers privileged knowledge in many respects. He believes that artificial intelligence can help people navigate complex rules more easily, but this does not mean that there will be no need for accountants, tax advisors, or lawyers in the future.
In fact, according to Márk, with the development of technology, there may be a need for even more experts, since the more information we have access to, the more questions arise. He thinks that AI cannot replace professional experience and personal relationships between people. That is why he considers one of its most important tasks for experts to also understand: Azta does not want to take their jobs, but to support them in it.
He still suggests that with more complex tax and legal questions, we should turn to experts, but he hopes that these experts will also use Azta in their work in the future. We tested the platform in the trial run to see how it works in practice.
But how will an AI startup that achieves monthly revenues of tens of millions of forints from a simple tax question? Why did Márk delete his own development four times, and how can one convince accountants that artificial intelligence does not jeopardize their work? It turns out in the video:
