Trump Pauses Destruction of Iranâs Energy Plant for 10 Days
I am pleased to offer this 10-day taco countdown calendar. Will it end with war crimes?
Tacos Courtesy of Iran
As per Iranian Government request, please let this statement serve to represent that I am pausing the period of Energy Plant destruction by 10 Days to Monday, April 6, 2026, at 8 P.M., Eastern Time. Talks are ongoing and, despite erroneous statements to the contrary by the Fake News Media, and others, they are going very well. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP
Energy Plant Destruction
On April 6, at 8:00 PM we will find out exactly how well those talks are progressing.
If not to Trumpâs satisfaction Trump has previously stated what he will do.
Trumpâs Threat
Truth Social: If Iran doesnât FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP
Mar 21, 2026, 5:44 PM
If I am not mistaken, two days have come and gone. Letâs recap the period in between.
- March 22: Trump to âObliterateâ Iranâs Power Plants if Strait Not Open in 48 Hours [The threat, if carried out, would âlikely constitute war crimesâ, says Grok.]
- March 23: Trump Postpones Strikes on Iran, Claims Progress in Talks that Iran Denies [The markets are pleased with progress on Iran that Iran denies.]
- March 23: The Bond Market Has Second Thoughts on Trumpâs Alleged Progress with Iran [Letâs discuss the striking volatility in long-term bond yields today.]
- March 24: In a Fog of Diplomacy, Mediators Seek US-Iran Meeting by Thursday [For calendar watchers, Thursday is today]
- March 25: The Name Is Bond â30-Yearâ Not James, But Whatâs the Message? [The bond market again shows serious inflation concerns.]
- March 26: Trump Wants a Speedy End to the War He Started. OK, So What? [When you start a war, the other side has a say when it ends.]
- March 26: Trump âNot Sure Heâs Willing to Make a Deal with Iranâ [âThey are begging to make a deal, not me. Theyâre begging to make a deal.â]
- March 26: Ten more days of Tacos, this post. Trump begs Iran for a deal, while setting conditions that are impossible for a deal to take place.
Now, if that is not progress, what is?
Q: How so?
A: Do you like tacos or not?
As an added bonus, war crimes have been delayed for another 10 days,
War Crime Discussion
Mish to Grok: If Trump did what he said, would that constitute a war crime?
Grok Response:
In short: The post is a threat, not a crime. Whether any future action would be a war crime would depend on how (if) it is executed, the precise targets, intelligence about their use, proportionality assessments, and civilian impactânone of which can be judged from a social media statement alone. International bodies like the ICC or UN would only investigate actual conduct in an armed conflict, not rhetoric. States (including the U.S.) often reject ICC jurisdiction anyway.
If President Trump carried out the threatened actionâdestroying (âobliteratingâ) Iranâs various power plants, starting with the biggest oneâit would likely constitute war crimes under international humanitarian law (IHL), depending on the specifics of execution, but the blanket, widespread nature implied makes it highly probable.International law does not categorically prohibit attacking power plants or electrical infrastructure.
However, attacks must comply with core principles from the Geneva Conventions (especially Additional Protocol I), customary IHL, and the Rome Statute of the ICC (which defines war crimes even if the U.S. is not a partyâthe norms are widely accepted as customary).
If the Threat Were Carried Out, attacking power plants could potentially raise serious IHL issues, depending on circumstances:
- Civilian objects like power stations are generally protected from attack unless they are making an effective contribution to military action (e.g., powering military command centers, air defenses, weapons production, or nuclear facilities tied to military use).
- Even if partly military, an attack must satisfy the principles of:
- Distinction (targeting only military objectives).
- Proportionality (expected civilian harm not excessive compared to military advantage).
- Precautions in planning/execution to minimize civilian risk.
- Widespread, long-term, and severe damage to the civilian populationâs access to electricity (potentially causing indirect civilian deaths via lack of medical care, water pumping, sanitation, etc.) could violate prohibitions on indiscriminate attacks or attacks expected to cause excessive incidental civilian harm.
- If the attack targeted a nuclear power plant (e.g., Bushehr), it could risk radioactive release, raising additional concerns under environmental protection rules in war and potentially amounting to an ecocide-like offense or disproportionate harm.
- The post specifies âpower plants,â not explicitly nuclear ones or purely civilian targets.
- Context from surrounding events (ongoing U.S./allied military actions against Iranian military capabilities, missile sites, navy/air force, etc.) suggests the intent is tied to degrading Iranâs military threat and reopening a key international waterway (Strait of Hormuz), which Iran has been interfering with.
Regarding War Crimes
A constitutional law expert friend, who is much more of a hawk on military interventions than others in the email conversation below, had this to say.
You know that I often disagree with [names redacted] on repeated assertions that US military actions are war crimes. International law is complex, fact-specific and very seldom does the US clearly violate international law. And I hate hyperbole.
But the threatened strikes would have been black and white lay-down war crimes. The Geneva Convention forbids strikes against civilian infrastructure calculated to threaten the lives of civilians to pressure concessions. Trump very specifically laid that out as the intent of his proposed strikes. Itâs really mind-boggling.
Questions of the Year
Q: Is Trump willing to risk this?
A: We are going to find out. I doubt Iran opens the strait. Thatâs the only bargaining power Iran has.
So what is it?
War crimes? Boots on the ground? Both?
Meanwhile, I repeat my key thesis.
What Are Iranâs Goals?
Iranâs overriding goal at the moment is âinflict as much pain on Trump as possibleâ. And Iran will!
Once you understand that simple fact, you understand why Trump is in a very tough spot.
For further discussion, including details of how lagging the US is regarding drone technology, please see Trump âNot Sure Heâs Willing to Make a Deal with Iranâ
Addendum
WSJ: Iran hasnât requested a 10-day pause on strikes on its energy plants and is yet to deliver a final response to a 15-point plan to end the war, peace talk mediators said.
My Constitutional Expert Friend: Good post. But I disagree with @Grok on one thing. Trump is actually guilty of the crime of extortion. Thatâs when you try to coerce a person to give up property or services through the criminal use of force. By threatening to commit a war crime if Iran doesnât do as he says, he is guilty of extortion.
Japans Formula One race is about to start the first practice day. It will be interesting to see if the attendance is down? Gas shortages are bound to start rearing their heads in oil importing nations.
The April Races were supposed to be in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. They have been cancelled for safety reasons. It will be interesting if the fall races in Qatar & Abu Dhabi will being cancelled as well.
It will also be interesting to listen to the commentary for bits on the wars affecting teamsâŚ
Seems like Trump is stalling.
Yet another 10,000 US soldiers heading to the region. It will take a week to get them there.
I am expecting US military personnel being in harms way before too long.
No likely end to this war soon. Shipping will remain impeded. Shortages of many oil related products happening already.
Some airports will run out of jet fuel next week. Manufacturing of medical gloves is shutting down for lack of chemicals. Governments asking citizens to stop driving, work from home, restrict electricity use, etc.
The fun is just beginning.
Global recession on the way. Depression is a possibility.
The war will last at least a decade if the Marines invade Iran.
Something has to change in our society. Decency has gone dormant in our governments and somehow must be awakened. People must demand better representation. Current and previous administrations have protected pedophiles and sold our republic to corporations and their owners, government of the people, by the people, for the people has vanished. The news, messaging and media are owned and indifferent to the truth.
The darkness of war, intolerance and hatred has society dancing on the rim of a volcano. If a foot slips in, things could go nuclear ~ quickly and without restraint.
The extension is until Monday, April 6 â But you know what comes next?
TACO TUESDAY!!
10 Day TACO?
Plenty of time for Iran to either buy or build a nuclear bomb.
The French government is reporting an upcoming energy crisis with 35% of oil infrastructure in Middle East destroyed. Oil to $200?
The IDF may collapse.

Donât worry Israel, Trump will send US troops to the meat grinder for you so you can keep bobbing your heads up and down at the temple.
Do worry, Trump will find a way to make things even worse.â˘
The French government analysis is very interesting because if one were to follow solely the official pronouncements of the GCC on the number of missiles and drones strikes which have been successful, it would seem that a much lower amount of damage has been done to the GCC energy infrastructure. The IEA now also reports that over 40 energy assets across nine countries have been âseverely damaged,â a figure far higher than the count of major fires typically reported in the media. The Western media seems to have failed again and isnât preparing the public for the severe energy shock that is bearing down on us.
More US troops needed tooâŚ

10 days of stroking the market
Clarence Carter Strokinâ?
One would think by now, the most would finally catch on to tacoâs game as he has no backbone, scrupples or business acumen. However, he does know how to manipulate markets while making his rich friends even richer. To taco, this whole Iran/Middle East fiasco is simply a game to be played.
Trump only said he would not attack Iranâs power grid in the next 10 days. Expect missiles to hit military targets, munitions factories, and suspected bunkers. Marines are arriving soon too, so they will give Trump more leverage in negotiations. Maybe the Marines take out the Houthis.
So Trump is going to invade Yemen too?
Smedley Butler is turning over in his grave.
Marines wonât accomplish anything. Youâre right, though, that Trump only gave 10 extra days before attacking Iranâs power plants. And thatâs only if you believe him.
In other news, Trumpâs signature will appear on newly printed dollar bills. A first for a sitting president.
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/signature-appear-paper-currency-dollar-bills-first-sitting-president-rcna265389
I wonder how long before he puts his face on every denomination of paper currency?
Banana fucking RepublicâŚ.
Nuclear Banana Republic
He has it coming on a 250 yr coin already.
In the middle of a war and King Nut Job has time and vanity for this BS?! Incredible.
I posted this on last thread. REFUSE TRUMP CURRENCY AND EXCHANGE FOR NON-TRUMP CURRENCY.
THATâS WHAT IâLL DO â ASERTING THAT HAS, AND STILL SHOULD BE, THE LAW!
BE GREAT IF MANY PEOPLE DO THAT!
he is surrounded by people whose entire life consists of finding new ways to pump up his egoâŚlike those effn North Korean style âdear Leaderâ cabinet meetings
âThe Presidentâs mark on history as the architect of Americaâs Golden Age economic revival is undeniable,â Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a statement. âPrinting his signature on the American currency is not only appropriate, but also well deserved.â
Well, gay ole Bessent sure knows how to stroke TrumpâsâŚâŚâŚego.
Trumpâs signature dance sure looks like he has plenty of experience stroking something.
Not surprising, especially since they asked Trump to be their leader
âŚTrumpâs ClaimâThereâs never been a head of a country that wanted that job less than being the head of Iran. We hear them very clearly. They say, âI donât want it. Weâd like to make you the next supreme leader.â No, thank you. I donât want it.â Trump said at the annual National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) fundraising dinnerâŚ.
⌠with big tears in their eyes.
Kristi Noemâs available.
Trumpâs words are so meaningless that it is really kind of a waste of time to discuss them. He lies as much as Biden, Obama, Bush II, Clinton, & Bush I. Maybe more.
More, lots MOAR!
Trump is saying that Iran asked him for a 7-day extension and he gave them 10 days. The idea that they are negotiating at all is not credible.
I think Trump really is starting to have delusions and multiple conversations taking place within his head.
King Nut Job.
Good Lort, from Sat to Mon we went from 48 hrs to 5 days, now Thurs we go to 10 days from today. Iran says there is no negotiation talks & this sort of thing is psychological warefare. Iran is right, itâs a psyops on them as well as the Amer public.
The best crystal ball to foretell the future is how Jared, Miller, Don Jr. and Lutnick play the futures and options markets. Lutnick did great with his 9/10/2001 picks.
10 more days to distract from Epstein.
wtf.
I have no idea if this is actually happening or if he is unable to cope with the reality
im going to do a Trump and negotiate with myself for a second.
I hope that every delay means he is closer to just walking away.
this is hard, and Trump doesnât like to do actual hard work. Extreme, unavoidable and painful reality that doesnt conform to thier self image is what breaks a narcissistic personality.
Rage, depression and hopefully withdrawal tends to follow.
The data says they isolate themselves and die alone and miserable. I had an in-law that was a narcissist. She is headed towards this certain future and I canât wait. Well deserved on her part. Trump deserves his lonely, isolated, and miserable future as well.
They spend the first part of each meeting going around the table taking turns blowing smoke up his ass. I think they can keep him afloat for a while yet if they have more of these meetings.
lol, ya, no shit.
and it could be that while trump is waiting for the Marines to show up he and his friends might was well make a little money manipulating the market.
