SDRF Launches Search Operation to Trace 10-Year-Old Boy Who Drowned in Kishanganga River in Gurez
Bandipora: The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) on Tuesday launched a search operation to trace and retrieve the body of a 10-year-old boy who drowned in the Kishanganga River in Gurez area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Officials said that the incident occurred on July 6, when Babar Bashir Sheikh, son of Bashir Ahmad Sheikh and a resident of Sheikhpora, Tulail, accidentally drowned in the river near Sheikhpora in the Tulail area of Gurez of Bandipora district.
Following the incident, SDRF teams were deployed on July 07 to trace and recover the body.
Search and rescue operations are underway in the area.(GNS)
