Expanded Offerings, Podcast Appearances, and Events in the UK

GET THE BaT DAILY EMAIL Your daily digest of everything happening on the site. Expanded Offerings, Podcast Appearances, and Events in the UK We’re excited to announce expanded services for BaT sellers and buyers in the UK! We’re no stranger to the British Isles, having listed more than 350 auctions in the region to date. The UK is known for its passionate, knowledgeable collector car community and, of course, for its extraordinary depth of automotive heritage. We’ve watched closely as British sellers and buyers have organically found their way onto BaT, compelled by the variety, vibrant discussion, and market-setting results to be found here. We have worked to optimize the BaT experience for our UK audience with features such as currency conversion, and we’re excited to offer our transparent and uniquely effective auction model to UK buyers and sellers. We are making it even easier for UK sellers to present their vehicles to our global audience of 1.65 million members by signing on a new BaT Local Partner, Sports_Purpose, renowned specialists based at the Bicester Motion facility in Oxfordshire. Supported by their expertise, sellers can get the help they need to realize a successful BaT auction: professional prep, video and photography, auction management, post-sale logistics, and more. This reach extends even further with our existing Local Partner, ChaseClassics in Dorset, and additional UK-based Local Partners will be announced later this year. Leading off the advance is an appearance by BaT’s own President and Co-Founder, Randy Nonnenberg, along with James Turner, founder of Sports Purpose, on episode 306 of the UK’s popular “The Intercooler” podcast. They go into depth on the history of BaT, the beginnings of our auction business, and how we have maintained our model through years of sustained growth in the US. The subject then turns to James’ vast experience in the upper echelons of vintage racing and classic car sales. You can watch the full episode above, or listen to the audio-only version on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. Randy and James are also the guests of honor on today’s Season 3, Episode 4 edition of The Driven Podcast; listen to the episode with the player above or click here to listen on Spotify. We’ve started a specific Instagram channel geared toward our UK audience—be sure to follow that to keep an eye out for special updates and UK listings—as well as a special page just for those interested in learning what we can do for buyers and sellers in the UK. Expect to see much more from this effort in the coming weeks and months—more right-hand-drive and British vehicle listings, more story content, and more local support. Plus, keep an eye on our Promotional channel for the chance to gather with fellow enthusiasts and BaT staff at upcoming UK events! 2 Comments Loading more comments… Please enable JavaScript to engage in the discussion on this site.
