‘Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle’ Streaming Date Nears After Film Earns $794 Million In Theaters

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle is finally coming to digital streaming after a blockbuster theatrical run that began nearly a year ago. Directed by Hikaru Kondô and Haruo Sotozaki, the anime movie smash, also known as Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, opened in theaters in Japan on July 18, 2025, before the Japanese language and English dub of the film opened in North American theaters on Sept. 12, 2025. In the film, Tanjiro, Nezuko and the Hashira are drawn into the Infinity Castle, where the Demon Slayer Corps must confront the terrifying Upper Rank demons. As such, the final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji begins. During the long wait for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle to arrive on digital streaming, the film returned to North American theaters in March to play in SCREENX venues. To date, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle —a Sony Pictures Entertainment-Crunchyroll production — has earned $136.9 million domestically and $656.5 internationally for a worldwide box office tally of $793.4 million. The film, according to the New York Times, had a $20 million production budget before marketing costs. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle is scheduled to debut on digital streaming via premium video on demand on Tuesday July 28, a new listing on Prime Video confirms. Like the theatrical presentation of the film, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle will be available in Japanese as well as a version with an English dub. In addition to Prime Video, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle will also be available on PVOD on such digital platforms as Apple TV, Fandango at Home and YouTube Movies & TV. The film has a pre-order purchase price of $19.99. Since new digital releases are typically $5 less than purchase prices, viewers can expect Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle to be available to rent for $14.99 for a 48-hour period. ‘Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle’ Will Also Begin Streaming On Crunchyroll In Late July In addition to the film’s release on PVOD, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle will also be available to Crunchyroll subscribers on July 28. Crunchyroll is Sony Pictures Entertainment’s ad-free streaming platform for anime movies, television series and games, and has three tiers. Crunchyroll’s Fan Tier costs $9.99 per month and allows access to the platform’s library, while the Mega-Fan Tier costs $13.99 per month and allows streaming of the platform’s content for up to four devices at a time, plus access to the Crunchyroll Game Vault and other premiums. Crunchyroll’s Ultimate Fan Tier costs $17.99 per month and allows streaming on up to six devices at a time. In addition, the Ultimate Fan Tier includes offline viewing and access to the Crunchyroll Game Vault, which offers free games and other premiums. All three tiers offer a free seven-day trial. Rated R, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle arrives on PVOD and Crunchyroll’s streaming platform on July 28.
