Since its premiere a few weeks ago, FX's flashy new series The Shards has been one of the most popular shows on Hulu and Disney+. The series introduces viewers to a group of friends in the 1980s in Los Angeles who are on the cusp of adulthood but are also dealing with some realities of the time, including the prevalence of serial killers. The Shards Season 1 consists of nine episodes and was lauded for capturing the 1980s with precision, including the culture, costumes, and music.
